Deele College has added the ISPCC Stand-up to Bullying reporting tool to the site and Mobile App, the form can be found on the main menu or from the sidebar to the left on the website or as an icon on the App.
Congratulations to Clodagh Barry 6th year who travelled to Omagh for a schools showjumping day on the 12th of April. There were 8 schools represented in both teams and individual competitions. Clodagh took part in the Intermediate individual competition where she won the title of Intermediate Schools Showjumping individual champion 2014 for Deele college on her horse Dusty. Clodagh also competed in the open individual section on her horse Mervyn where she took 6th place. It was a very successful day for both Deele College and Clodagh.
JCSP students from first, second and third year were treated to a trip away to the Monaghan Education Centre on Monday for one night. This was part of an outdoor education initiative, which encourages students to be more active. This was a great trip for the students and great fun was had by all.
The Transition Year students continued their work experience this week in the local area, with students taking up employment in various sectors, which will help them decide on future careers. The school would like to thank all employers who have taken on students from Deele College.
Deele College is proud to announce the launch of our new interactive school app. The app is free and is available on the android and apple stores. It is envisioned that this app will provide a stronger link between parents and the school, with various features, which will allow parents to send notes on absenteeism, see homework assignments and monitor students’ progress.
Two dresses from the school have made it through to the Grand Final of Junk Kouture which will be held in the O2 Arena Dublin on 2nd May.

Read DL is a ‘One Book, One Community’ initiative which is designed to bring local people together through reading and discussing the same book/author. The book selected this year was Donegal’s best loved legends and fairytales Donegal Folk Tales by local author Joe Brennan.
The staff from both secondary schools in Raphoe engaged in a friendly indoor soccer game on Tuesday 9th April. The game was fiercely contested after classes were concluded in a high scoring game which ended in a draw, the final score was 6 – 6
Congratulations Rachel Mc Laughlin on winning two tickets to One Direction. All the students who raised 25 euro or more in the Fitness Boot Camp was entered into a draw which Rachel won. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success
