A “Devine” Victory – Deele vs Carndonagh

A Michael Devine goal just minutes from the end was enough to send Deele College’s U-17 boys’ team into the quarter final of the Ulster Cup competition. Played in wet conditions, the team battled hard for their win and now take their place in the last eight.

Every class will work together as a team to make the best possible Christmas Hamper for a family in need this Christmas. Our main focus is providing sustainable food, but we can also include luxurious items in our hampers by means of treats for children.

Sky Sports Team


On this their final visit from Michael Mc Killop (Paralympic Champion and World Record Holder), the Sky Sports team were extremely excited to talk to Michael about their mud run challenge.

On a bitterly cold winter morning at the Old Foundry, the Sky Sports Team bravely tackled the 5K obstacle course through mud and pools of ice cold water.  The team trained for weeks for this challenge and their determination and work paid off on challenge day. 

Xmas Craft Fair & Carol Service

The Christmas Craft Fair & Carol Service was held on Thursday night in the School GP Area, where a large crowd gathered to hear the brilliant singing of the school’s choir, who have been busily practising over the past number of weeks. The Transition year class sold a range of items that they have been making in the school. This was a great event and everyone involved deserves great credit for the show and the fair.

1st Year Swimming Gala 2014


Deele College held their yearly swimming gala this week. All students came along to participate in races that they thoroughly enjoyed. Well done to the top 3 boys and girls length and width swimmers:

School Visits: The Transition Year students had an interesting talk from the team from Donegal Creameries on Monday, where they got to see the inner workings of the business and gained tips on getting jobs and doing interviews. The school has a long and proud association with the company and it is a real asset to students in Transition Year.
