Transition Year Trip to Belfast – January 2014

16th of January

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The Ty classes are travelling to Belfast on Friday the 17th of January. They are attending a talk on the development of the Irish language and a musical gig. There is also time for shopping.

Students will leave from Deele College at 11.00am and return at approx. 11.30pm. They will need to be collected from the school on their return.

The day is intended to be social while attempting to improve the image of Irish with teenagers from all parts of the country. Irish based musicians are also being promoted.

As students are representing our school it in important that they present themselves properly. They do not have to wear school uniform but should not wear offensive clothing i.e. football jerseys etc.

Two teachers are accompanying the group.

Yours sincerely

Ms. Mary Gibbons
TY Co-Ordinator
