Prize Giving 2015


Congratulations to all students who received prizes and awards on the day. Prizes were presented by past principals of the school who returned for the ceremony. Only four people have held the title of principal during the fifty years of the school. Mr Terry McDermott was the very first principal and he was succeeded by Mr Dessie Griffen. Mr PJ McGowan took the reins in 2000 and the current principal, Mr Joe Boyle were in attendance.

Deele College Notes


The school hosted its annual ecumenical service on Thursday evening for sixth year students and their parents in the school sports hall. The service was conducted by members of the clergy from different denominations. The service was, as usual, a great success with a large turnout. The students were given valuable advice by the speakers and the overall message of the evening was ‘never ever give up.’

Pumped Video Awarded Second Place in Ireland


Congratulations to the students: Alicia Coll, Ariea McDaid, Nicole Duddy and their teacher Ms. Annette Gildea and all who were involved in the Pumped Video. Following the stiff competition which enjoyed a very high standard Deele College emerged in second place and received high praise for their entry on the night.

Deele College Notes


Congratulations to Gemma Lynch, 6th year, who won the JCI Most Outstanding Young Person award at a recent award ceremony in Letterkenny. JCI (Junior Chamber Ireland) recognises the role of young people who volunteer their time to worthwhile causes and picked Gemma for her sterling work in a voluntary capacity. Gemma, who is a member of the Donegal Youth Council received the award along with the likes of Mark English and Michael Murphy, who were also recognised on the night.
