Deele College U14 Gaelic football team suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Colaiste Ailigh by a score of 1-1 to 5-13.

The throw-in was at 10:30 and the away side Colaiste Ailigh got off to a quick start by scoring a goal inside the first 2 minutes. From then Colaiste Ailigh were in control converting point after point with Deele going into half time 20 points behind.The second half didn’t get much better for Deele but we did get our first point when full foward Jack O Donnell put it over the bar from around 20 metres out. We got a goal when substitute Dylan Nesbitt tucked away a parried shot from the opposing keeper.

After the match, Deele College manager Mr PJ Gallagher said “It was a very difficult game against a very good Colaiste Ailigh side. Our hope for the new season is to get out of our division. We have two games left against Magh Ene College and St Catherine’s from Killybegs and we hope to win these two games.”
