Fifth year student Brett McGinty came back to Deele College this week to a hero’s welcome, after his stunning performances in the Commonwealth games, where the St Johnston man earned a silver medal.

Fitness Bootcamp 2015

As part of ‘active week’ the school hosted a ‘fitness boot camp’ in the school’s sports-hall on Thursday for all school students. The aim of the day was to promote exercise and a healthy lifestyle to our students, through enjoyable exercise. The event was a real success and we would like to thank all of the students who took part.

Deele College – Ulster Senior Soccer Champions 2015

Congratulations to the senior soccer team from Deele College led by their inspired manager Mr. Gallagher, on winning their second Ulster title in seven years.  The team had a hard fought battle against Carndonagh, with a final score of 2:1.  The goals were scored by Alex Carolyn and Declan Sharkey.

All roads lead to Burnfoot this Friday, where the Dr Tony O’Neill Senior Schools’ Final will take place at the home of Aileach FC, between Carndonagh Community School and Deele College from Raphoe.
