Deele College Student Receives International Call-Up

Deele college student Zoe Mc Glynn has been selected to play against Denmark for the Republic of Ireland U17 Ladies’ squad.  There will be two matches taking place and Zoe is hopeful of playing in both games.

The matches will be played on Tuesday the 23rd of September and Thursday the 25th of September. Both games are being played in the AUL Complex in Dublin. Zoe leaves for Dublin on Sunday, although she will also have an eye on the All-Ireland final as she also played for the Donegal underage girls’ Gaelic football team.

Deele College Student Impresses in Poland

Deele College student Alex Carolan represented Northern Ireland against Poland in Kolobrzeg last week, where he played in front of a crowd of 2,500 people.

Alex, who is a TY student in Deele College was selected to play for the Northern Ireland U-16 team, who played out a 1-1 draw with their Polish counterparts.

Ulster Districts Athletics – Antrim Forum

The 2014 Ulster Track and Field Athletics Championships got underway in the prestigious venue of Antrim Forum on Wednesday. The quality of this competition was very high with some excellent performances from Deele College students.

Ulster Cross Country

Brian McNamee, a second year student in Deele College in Raphoe has been selected to represent Ulster in the All-Ireland Schools’ Cross Country in Cork.

Normally known for his boxing prowess, the Convoy youngster showed great ability in the athletics field with an impressive sixth place finish in the recent Ulster School’s Cross Country in Belfast. With 120 participants in the event, Brian showed his class with a strong run, leading the field for quite a distance.

First Year Girls Defeat Loreto 2 – 0

Well done to the First year girls soccer team who defeated Loreto Letterkenny.  After 45 minutes both teams were level but two goals in the second half by Tyler Toland saw the Deele College team emerge victorious. Well done to all involved

Well Done First Year Sportshall team

Well done to the Deele College First year Sports Hall Team who participated in the County Donegal Championship.  The team finished up 5th out of the twenty schools that participated in the county.
