The school hosted its annual ecumenical service on Thursday evening for sixth year students and their parents in the school sports hall. The service was conducted by members of the clergy from different denominations. The service was, as usual, a great success with a large turnout. The students were given valuable advice by the speakers and the overall message of the evening was ‘never ever give up.’

The school’s annual prize giving was held on Friday afternoon. This year, the school had three guests of honour, with PJ McGowan, Terry McDermott and Dessie Griffen, all past principals of the school joining the student population for their awards. It was fitting that the three principals, who have steered the school over the past half century were there on the 50th anniversary. For details of prize winners go to the school website
