The Junior Certificate is a 3 year course for students aged between 12 and 15 culminating in the Junior
Certificate examination.
Who can take part in Junior Certificate programmes?
Students aged broadly between 12 and 15 years old.
What courses are available at Junior Certificate?
Students must follow a number of core subjects which includes Irish, English, Mathematics, Civil Social
and Political Education and 2 other subjects from
a list including languages, science, business studies, art, music etc.
