Principal’s Address

A caring learning community.

We promote mutual respect in a safe and happy school where the fulfilment of each individual’s potential is our goal.

At Deele College mutual respect is a core value that all members of the College community strive for on a daily basis. In our determination to deliver this environment the students, staff and parents work hand in hand to encouraging student centred environment where all scholars will have the opportunity to flourish.

The promotion of top quality teaching and a positive learning setting provides a solid stage for all students to mature the essential life-skills to take on any challenge placed before them as they embark on their education and life expeditions.

The growth of the whole person is a fundamental concept of our College, a strong Student Support team, dedicated teachers and willing learners who are supported by a buoyant family network allows for “A caring learning community”. Individually students will be stimulated to flourish, progress and be nurtured throughout their participation in curricular and extra-curricular activities in Deele College to fulfil their potential and set challenging goals and targets.

Deele College has just celebrated its 50th Anniversary and we are looking forward to creating the stories, headlines and history of the next 50 years with the opening of our new extension in the early part of 2016. As the builders advance the project closer to completion the excitement grows among staff and students alike of the prospect of moving into the completed building.

The dynamic of our school day will change dramatically with new Home Economics, Art, DCG, Science and a Multi-media room as well as thirteen new general purpose classrooms. The upgrade and development of the existing school offers a modern facility that will be the envy of many a community.

The completed building works will offer our students a state of the art learning environment. It will allow for the College to expand its horizons in evolving the latest teaching methodologies and will offer comfortable and motivational learning opportunities to our student body as they embark on their respective programme of learning as junior or senior students.

As Principal of Deele College, I take great pride in expressing the joy and excitement that we will have a school building that matches the quality of our students and staff. The investment in our College is one that we are proud of and look forward to sharing with our community.

Principal Mr.Joe Boyle
